May Event Details!

Each month, we at Creative Sewing offer a unique monthly event for our customers to take advantage of! This month we have 2 neat events in one! One is completely FREE! Let us tell you a bit about the Military Card Making Event!!!

In May (Military Appreciation Month), we will have a Military Card Making Event with Sue Ellen Kostroski to send to our servicemen overseas! We want to invite everyone to drop-in from 9:30am - 12:30pm on June 17th, to come make a card to send overseas! This is a FREE event! We will have supplies for you to use to make a unique embroidered card. Can't drop-in? Feel free to drop your own cards off at the store up until the event weekend!

We are also offering...

A Sewing Machine Cover Event: On Friday afternoon, 1:30pm - 4:30pm, Sue Ellen Kostroski will be getting us up close and personal with Baby  Lock machines! We will be making a Take 5 Sewing Machine Cover (picture below) which will incorporate wonderful features, including several exclusive features, from five Baby lock machines, including the Sashiko and Ellisimo Gold.
You will learn new techniques on several machines, and expand your sewing skills while constructing a lovely sewing machine cover. The front of the cover is accurately pieced using the 1/4'' foot. Transform a piece of silk by texturizing it on the Baby Lock Embellisher for a wonderful effect. Now run it through the Accuquilt Go creating an applique flower which will be attached with the help of software and a Baby Lock embroidery machine. If you're looking for an optional way to quilt then take the Sashiko for a spin following the curves created with the Wave Edge Ruler. Of course, you need to experience Baby Lock's Evolution and it's exclusive Wave stitch! What a great way to finish the edges and complete the project! Registration is required, and there is a small kit fee for supplies.

For BOTH of these events, please call the store to sign up! We need to know how much supplies to have ready! Also, if you can't stop by for the Military Card Making Event, but have the means to make some cards at home, please feel free to come drop off your hand-made cards by the event!
