Quilting Expo Winners!

We wanted to share a glimpse of the fun we enjoyed at the Knitting and Quilting Expo this year! 

 We got to play with so many of our favorite machines.

BabyLock educator, Debbie Martinez stayed busy showing attendees how you can do beautiful quilting and couching with the Crown Jewel Long Arm Quilting machine.

We gave away a BabyLock Ellure in the Friday drawing. Congratulations to Scott Martin of Wedgefield, SC!

Then on Saturday, we awarded a Bernina 800DL Serger to Penny Stevens!  What a joy to see their happy faces!

 We thank all of you who stopped by to say hello and make us feel welcome!

Sweet Heart Event

       If you love machine embroidery, you will love the event we are offering on Valentines weekend.  On Friday, Feb. 14^th and Saturday, Feb. 15^th Creative Sewing is offering a class to better equip you in your machine embroidery experience.  Pat Gallini will wow the class with some fabulous embroidery techniques, software solutions, and breathtaking designs.

           In addition to hands-on embroidery each class member will also get to keep specially created project sheets from Creative Sewing and an embroidery collection from “Amazing Designs” Browse through the trunk show of special collections from “Amazing Design’s” tremendous assortment.

And take a look at the beautiful projects Jennifer has stitched out!

The Friday morning class begins at 9:30 and offers a perfect opportunity for embroiderers who do not yet have experience on the Ellisimo embroidery machine as they are guided through the process step by step. Those who are experienced on the machine can enjoy the class on Friday afternoon which will begin at 2:30. There will be a reservation fee of $20. If you would prefer a Saturday class, you can reserve a spot on the 15^th at 9:30. Reservations are essential. Call us at 936-1251.

There's nothing more exciting than ringing in the new year! Each new year brings promises of fresh starts and new beginnings. And boy, do we have a year planned out for ya'll! You can check out our quarterly calendar on the side of our blog, or check it out here and read our newsletter here!

Kicking off in January, we have a fun filled weekend planned for you towards the end of the month! On the 24th and the 25th, we'll have two Babylock Educators will be coming in to teach four classes all about sergers! One class will feature a variety of specialty threads as you make samples of techniques which are used in garment construction, heirloom sewing, and decorative embellishments. This class will include techniques like the beautiful Wave stitch, a lettuce edge, a decorative chain stitch and double fold bias binding. The other class will focus on Serger feet and accessories like the belt loop binder, the elastic applicator, the cording foot and the “Super Foot” for doing the Cover and Chain stitch. What a weekend it will be!
